"Amazing restaurant. Definitely recommend. Food is amazing. Service is awesome; thank you Christy for making our dinner so fun. Atmosphere is cozy, vibrant and social. Can't wait to go back. Parking is challenging because the restaurant was full and another restaurant is next door. Be patient. Bartenders were great. One of the owners stopped by our table. She was wonderful. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the dish. Everything tasted amazing. Enjoy."

"Last night was our first time dining here, and honestly… it felt like being transported straight back to Romania. From the very first bite, my entire family couldn’t stop talking about how much the food tasted like home. The flavors were so authentic, rich, and comforting.. the kind you don’t forget and keep craving long after the meal is over. Every dish tasted homemade, like it was prepared with care, tradition, and love. It wasn’t just good food, it carried memories, culture, and that unmistakable feeling of familiarity that’s so hard to find outside of home. We kept looking at each other saying, “This is exactly how it’s supposed to taste.” The portions were generous, the ingredients tasted fresh, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. "I was excited to hear that someone finally settled down in this building since it has so much potential. Everything at Bar Gabi was delicious! If I recall correctly, Claire was our server and she took good care of us. Service was top notch. The homemade Rigatoni is to die for. Our sea bass was a bit salty for my taste but we still demolished everything. It was a great piece of fish. Definitely leave room for dessert - I wanted to order the whole dessert menu. "My wife and I had a fabulous dinner last night at Romanian restaurant Bar Gabi in Hazel Park. Amazing food, next level hospitality from one of the chef/owners, Gabi and super server, Kristy as well as the collective staff. Their House Dirty Martini is perfection. The Wolf and Amber (Bourbon Old Fashioned) was well balanced and not overly sweet like the ones found at Wisconsin's famed Supper Club's. For starters we took Gabi's recommendation of Langos and Mititei and were not disappointed in the least. Amazing! After much debate about getting different entree's to sample each others dishes, we both opted for one of the current months pasta dishes: the Braised Short Rib Rigatoni. Once again, Amazing! {{UPDATE 31 Dec 2025: After a 10-year ban on going out to dinner on New Years Eve due to always getting bad food, we very much thought it would not be the case at Bar Gabi and we were right. New Years Eve dinner was just as fabulous and enjoyable as our last meal!}}"
